NORTH HOLLYWOOD — Police asked for the public’s help Wednesday identifying a male and a female who attacked a woman and stole her dog inside a North Hollywood convenience store.
Officers arrived at the business in the 11100 block of Burbank Boulevard at about 12:45 a.m. Tuesday regarding a robbery, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Police said a preliminary investigation revealed that the victim entered the business with her dog on a leash. Moments later, two suspects entered the business and allegedly assaulted the woman in an unprovoked attack, using excessive force to remove the dog from her possession.
Detectives described the suspects as a female wearing all-black clothing, with black shoes, along with a man who was wearing a black-and-white sweater, blue jeans, and black shoes.
The 11-year-old dog was described as a gold pit bull and Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. His name is Drake.
Detectives released surveillance images of the suspects and the dog in hopes of identifying the two suspects. Video of the attack and theft was also shared on social media.
