• Banco BTG Pactual is near a deal to purchase a wealth-management bank in New York as it expands globally.
• The name of the target wasn’t immediately known, according to a Bloomberg report on Friday, which cited people familiar with the matter. The Brazilian investment bank plans to inject $300 million to $350 million in the bank after the acquisition.
