Superstar DJ and producer Dillon Francis announced his Music Is My Passion run of shows that will play out over three consecutive evenings in venues throughout Los Angeles later this year.
The short jaunt will begin on Nov. 30 at The Roxy in West Hollywood under his alter ego DJ Hanzel, followed by a show at The Mayan on Dec. 1 with a Moombahton set infused with reggaeton and dance music that Francis was known to play during his Taco Tuesday live streams on YouTube during the quarantine in 2020. His Los Angeles takeover comes to an end with a concert at The Shrine on Dec. 2 billed as Dillon Francis and Friends.
General admission tickets for the three-day takeover will go on sale on Friday, Aug. 11 and there is a special presale beginning on Wednesday, Aug. 9 at dillonfrancis.com/tour.
The mini local tour comes in support of “This Mixtape Is Fire Too,” Dillon’s forthcoming record and the sequel to his 2015 “This Mixtape Is Fire.” He’s already given fans a taste for what’s to come from the new record with a few singles including “LA on Acid,” featuring electronic duo Good Times Ahead, “Pretty People” featuring INJI, “Don’t Let Me Let Go” featuring Illenium and Evan Giia and “Goodies.”
Francis was tapped by fellow DJ, Diplo to play inside the Honky Tonk at the 15th annual Stagecoach Country Music Festival at Empire Polo Club in Indio back in April. Francis took the stage on Saturday, April 29 for a blend of electronic music hits mixed with country favorites and he drew a massive audience that spilled well outside the tented Honky Tonk stage.
