Mother Nature has thrown the Dodgers and Angels a rare August curveball, and they are adjusting accordingly.
Both teams (and the San Diego Padres) have rescheduled their Sunday games due to the forecast related to Hurricane Hilary. All three teams will now play their Sunday home games as the earlier games of split doubleheaders on Saturday.
The Dodgers will now play the Miami Marlins at noon and 6:10 p.m. on Saturday at Dodger Stadium.
The Angels and the Tampa Bay Rays will play their games at 1:07 p.m. and 6:07 p.m. on Saturday at Angel Stadium.
The Padres and the Arizona Diamondbacks will square off at 12:10 p.m. and 5:40 p.m. on Saturday at Petco Park in San Diego.
Hurricane Hilary is expected to bring significant rainfall throughout Southern California on Sunday.
For ticket holders, MLB says all of Sunday’s rescheduled games will now become the early afternoon games of Saturday’s split doubleheaders. Saturday’s originally scheduled games remain intact.
