  • Passenger car registrations in the European Union climbed 21% year-on-year to 787.6K units in August, posting a 13th consecutive month of increase, the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) said on Wednesday.

  • Most markets registered a double-digit growth, including the three largest: Germany (37.3%), France (24.3%), and Italy (11.9%).

  • Battery electric car registrations in the UK meanwhile jumped by 118.1% to 165.2K units in August.
