FedEx (NYSE:FDX) said Monday the governing body of the company’s unit of the Air Line Pilots Association International voted to approve the tentative contract agreement reached May 30.

The agreement includes a 30% pay increase and a 30% increase to the pilots’ legacy pension.

The full membership still must ratify the agreement; voting will open July 5 and close July 24.

Contract negotiations began in May 2021, the contract became amendable in November 2021, and the parties entered mediation with the National Mediation Board in November 2022; if ratified, the new contract will go into effect in August 2023 and become amendable in 2028.
