France trade deficit narrowed to €6.1B in June, compared to May’s downwardly revised €7.7B and market forecasts of €7.5B.
It was the smallest trade deficit in three months, as exports rose 3.4% M/M to €51.7B, while imports fell 0.2% to €57.8B.
At the same time, the energy shortfall fell to €5.3B compared to €5.5B in the prior month.
The trade surplus for consumer goods increased €0.2B from €0.1B, while the deficit for intermediate goods rose by €0.2B to €2.2B.
