LOS ANGELES — No tickets were sold in California matching all six numbers in Tuesday night’s drawing of the multi-state Mega Millions lottery, but there was a jackpot winner in Florida, and Friday’s jackpot will be $20 million, according to lottery officials.
The numbers drawn Tuesday were 18, 39, 42, 57, 63 and the Mega number was 7. The estimated jackpot was $36 million.
No tickets were sold in California with five numbers but missing the Mega number, according to the California Lottery. Such a ticket would have been worth $120,068.
The odds of matching all five numbers and the Mega number are 1 in 302,575,350, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association, which conducts the game. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 24.
The Mega Millions game is played in 45 states, the District of Columbia and U.S. Virgin Islands.
