In the World Series win for the LA Dodgers, the team received a huge boost from pitcher Julio Urias.

After making the postseason for eight straight years, the LA Dodgers were finally able to get over the hump and win the World Series. It was not an easy path for the Dodgers with the coronavirus making things very unpredictable.

However, the Dodgers now have their first title since 1988, and the team and the city of Los Angeles will be continuing to celebrate from the Lakers win just a couple of weeks ago.

In the championship win, the Dodgers had a lot of players step up, but the most surprising might have been the play of Julio Urias.

This season, Urias was mostly a starter for the team and he ended up having one of the best seasons of his career. In the regular season, Urias made 10 starts, with 11 games pitched overall. In those games, Urias totaled a 3-0 record and 3.27 ERA.

While the regular season was good for Urias, he was even better in the postseason for the Dodgers. In the playoffs, Urias pitched in six games with two starts. He totaled an ERA of 1.17 and recorded two wins.

The performances of Urias in the playoffs was a big reason why the Dodgers were able to win the World Series. Dave Roberts pushed all the right buttons when using Urias, as he started some games and then also closed out some games.

Having the type of flexibility that Urias provided was very beneficial for the Dodgers, as he would frequently be used in high pressure spots.

As a talented young prospect in the organization the last few years, Urias might have finally come into his own as a pitcher. Hopefully, this postseason will push Urias into stardom.
