- Perrigo (NYSE:PRGO) and Mead Johnson Nutrition, a division of Reckitt Benckiser (OTCPK:RBGPF), have received US FDA warning letters following inspections of baby formula plants.
- The FDA inspected a Perrigo facility in Wisconsin and March and April. Although the company submitted a corrective action response in May, the agency said there are still areas that require corrective actions.
- For Mead Johnson, the FDA inspected a plant in Minnesota from late November 2022-early January 2023 and another in Michigan in February. The agency also found more corrective actions needed from the company despite submitting a response.
- Reckitt (OTCPK:RBGLY) initiated a recall of some of its Enfamil ProSobee formula in February due to possible contamination with Cronobacter sakazakii bacteria. Perrigo recalled some of its Gerber Good Start formula the following month for the same reason.
