With storm after storm soaking the Southland in recent weeks, the roadways of the Los Angeles areas have taken a beating.
Did you hit a pothole on the way home? So did we.
Road crews have been working overtime to try to keep pace with the damage caused by the storms, particularly on streets already in need of some TLC before this rainy spell.
In these photos, a crew from the City of L.A.’s Street Services Department deal with a particularly heinous pothole on Vermont Avenue between Wilshire Boulevard and Seventh Street in Koreatown.
Once the facelift is complete, it’s like the crevice was never there. Almost.
The ravaged roadways will get a respite for a while as forecasters see no sign of rain through the end of the month.
Road crews have been working overtime to try to keep pace with the damage caused by recent rainstorms
