The challenge race combines the 10K and the half marathon – or roughly three-quarters the distance of a full marathon.

Runners dressed in princess tutus, Maleficent horns or their favorite Disneybounding attire will enjoy music, live entertainment and Disney character sightings as they race through Disney’s Anaheim theme parks. All participants receive a Disney-designed race medal.

The last RunDisney half marathon race was held at Disneyland in September 2017. The 2017 race wound through both parks before dawn and included a route through neon-lit Cars Land at Disney California Adventure. The Disneyland races attract as many as 30,000 runners a year.

The return of the Disneyland Half Marathon also means RunDisney will once again reintroduce a Coast to Coast Race Challenge in 2024 that combines races at Disney’s California and Florida theme parks.

Registration for the 2024 Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend opens Feb. 7 for gold and platinum Club RunDisney members and Feb. 14 for the general public.

Virtual versions of the Disneyland RunDisney races can be run in local neighborhoods, parks and tracks – or on a treadmill. Registration for the virtual events will be held on Feb. 17.

RunDisney has not announced prices for the Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend. Prices for other RunDisney 5Ks cost approximately $100 and about $220 for a half marathon. Prices for RunDisney challenge races range from $380 to $660.
